 Clara Phillips photo courtesy of Clara Alexander Clara Phillips was born on 5 May 1923 in Boma, Tennessee. She was a real Rosie the Riveter in World War II working on P-47's and B-17's. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years at her church in Baxter. She died on May 19, 2012 in Cookeville, Tennessee. She is buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Baxter, Putnam County, Tennessee. She married Howard Nelson Alexander in 1948. He was born 13 April 1923 and died 1 July 1982 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. He was buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Baxter, Putnam County, Tennessee.
