Henry Roberts was born about 1821 in White County, Tennessee and died 12 February 1863 in Regimental Hospital, Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee. He married M. Elizabeth "Bell" Whitehead 5 April 1841 in Smithville, Decalb County, Tennessee, the daughter of Thomas Whitefield and Mary. She was born on 11 November 1826 in North Carolina and died 31 December 1885 in Scottsville, Allen County, Kentucky.
