He was buried in the Carr Cemetery in Hickey, Putnam County, Tennessee. He married Mary S. "Molly" Whitehead, the daughter of James Whitehead and Celia Stewart, about 1891. She was born 1 November 1872 and died December 1898. She was buried in the Taylor Cemetery in Boma, Putnam County, Tennessee. He married Doshie "Jane" Helms, the daughter of Enoch Helms and Martha Sypert, on 9 June 1900. She was born 13 October 1876 and died 13 July 1943. She was buried in the Carr Cemetery in Hickey, Putnam County, Tennessee. Children of James Grant Roberts and Mary S.
