John Harrison Roberts was born about 1827 in Jackson County, Tennessee and died 19 July 1870 in Mine Lick Creek, Putnam County, Tennessee. He married Mary Ann "Polly" Ramsey 25 February 1847 in White County, Tennessee, the daughter of James Ramsey and Sarah Choate. She was born on 24 September 1824 in Tennessee or Virginia and died 5 October 1901 in Kentucky. She was buried in the Woodclift Cemetery in Putnam County, Tennessee. He married Amanda C. Martin 20 February 1870 in Mine Lick Creek, Putnam County, Tennessee, the daughter of Samuel Martin and Rebecca Bryant. She was born about 1840 in Tennessee and died 25 December 1919 in District 13, Silver Point, Putnam County, Tennessee. She was buried in the Carr Cemetery in Hickey, Putnam County, Tennessee.
