Mitchell McDonald "Mack" Phillips Mitchell McDonald "Mack" Phillips and Rebecca (Herron) Phillips Photo courtesy of Sue (Phillips) Brindley Mitchell McDonald"Mack" Phillips  was the son of Thomas Phillips and Jane Peak.  He was born 29 March 1862 near Hilham in what is now thought to be Overton County, Tennessee.  He died 3 May 1934 in Putnam County, Tennessee.  He is buried at the Carr Cemetery in Putnam County, Tennessee. He married Rebecca "Aunt Beck" Herron  the daughter of William "Billie" Herron and Mary Vickers.  She was born 3 April 1870 in the Silver Point area, Putnam County, Tennessee.  She died 6 October 1960 in Baxter, Putnam County, Tennessee.  She is buried at the Carr Cemetery in Putnam County, Tennessee.
