He married  Neita Elizabeth Schoeppath  12 June 1923.  She is the daughter of William George Christ Schoeppach and Vinnie May Boyer.  She was born 24 June 1901 in Martin County, Minnesota.  She died 20 April 1999 in Valley City, Barnes County, North Dakota.  She is buried at Woodbine Cemetery in Valley City, Barnes County, North Dakota.
